White powder, insoluble in water, soluble in water and ammonium containing carbon solution. Heated to 900 ℃ decomposed into oxidation strontium and carbon dioxide, soluble in rare hydrochloric acid and dilute nitric acid and releasing carbon dioxide. Melting point ℃ 1497.
